I think the reason I hesitate to post for so long is because I like to post pictures every time. My favorite blogs to read are the ones with pictures, so I guess I always thought other people feel the same way. Maybe not. Anyway - here's a post - with no pictures.
2 things going on right now:
1. I've been reading this blog lately called Stuff Christians Like. A girl in my community group - kept mentioning it, so finally I checked it out. I'm kind of addicted. I guess it's similar to a blog called Stuff White People Like, but I've never been to that one. The blogger is from Alabama and lives in Atlanta and goes to NorthPoint Church. He has written about 350 different things Christians like (i.e. gold fish, raising hands, metrosexual worship leaders, and color themed salvation bracelets). After reading several in the 300s, I decided to start from the beginning - which I recommend for you to do as well - especially if you have a good 6 or 7 hours to kill a day. Here's the link: http://www.stufffchristianslike.blogspot.com/. (There are 3 f's in stuff). Enjoy!
2. We are going to Illinois this weekend to visit Andy, Ashley & Evangeline (Andy is Mike's brother). They lived in Texas until this past April and were only about 30 minutes from us, so we tried to see them about once a week. When the move came into play it turned into seeing them as much as possible, which made them leaving harder I think. Another thing that makes it really hard is that Ashley and I are both expecting, so it would have been really fun to do that together - and of course for our baby to have cousins around. :( So, we are spending the weekend with them and I am so excited! It is going to be wonderful to see them. We are going to a luncheon for a guy named Aaron Schock (http://aaronschock.com/) who is running for US congress and the POTUS is going to be there. My mom thinks I should make a sign telling him I'm growing a Texan to see if he'll rub my belly. Of course we won't be able to get a picture of it because no cameras are allowed, and if we want one taken it costs $4600! I think I'll wait and catch him walking around Park Cities after they move here next year. So while we won't have pics with the prez, I'm sure we'll have lots of the trip - I'll post them when we get back!
