The end of July Mike and I got to travel to Idaho and Washington to visit friends and family. This is a wonderful time of the year to visit...usually. In Washington, they happened to have record highs. Normally this isn't an issue for us. We lived in Florida and then Texas. Temperatures in the 90s and 100s are normal. But in Florida and Texas, we have air conditioning! 80% of homes in the Seattle area are without air conditioning. With the help of a lot of fans, kiddie pools, and cold showers, we were able to beat the heat!
Here's how the trip went. Try to keep up!
Flew into Spokane. Left the next morning for Seattle with Mom & Dad Netzer. Stayed with Carolyn & Jhar for 2 nights where we went on a great hike. Drove to Redmond, had lunch with our friend Ross, went to the Mariners game with Grandma & Grandpa Eliason, Uncle John & Aunt Alison, and Cousin Lucas. (They happened to win the game with a walk off from Ichiro.) Stayed the night with J & A and then headed back to Idaho with Mom & Dad. Stayed the night and then headed up to Priest Lake to spend the afternoon and evening with our great friends Joel & Karli and their two sweet girls. Mike & Joel went on an insane hike that took 4 hours or something. Then we headed back down to Hayden, for the remainder of our trip. Mike's Aunt Jan, Uncle Tom, and Cousin Christopher came over and stayed the weekend. There was a lot to do, see, visit, but we had a WONDERFUL time. Here are pics in chronological order!
