The month of April

A lot happened in April.

First - let me take a moment to welcome Penelope (Poppy, Poppy Seed, Sweet P) Violet Dernier to the world. Brooks is looking forward to being your older, wiser cousin! She was born April 18th at almost 10am, with a head full of hair.

Second, Brooks is sitting up and trying to crawl. He's got the rocking thing down and scoots back pretty well. He can pretty much get to somewhere if he wants to bad enough, it just takes a while!

Third, solid foods is going A LOT better. He is officially eating banana, avocado, sweet potatoes, peas, pears, prunes and apple sauce. I made zucchini and summer squash so we'll be trying those in the next week. 

Fourth, while in Florida Brooks got his first booboo (and second and third, babies fall over a lot when they are learning to sit up), sunburn (looks like he's going to have my skin), first gooky eye (we think he got something in it), first rash from sitting in the grass, drove his first boat, laughed at his first zurburt, saw/touched the ocean for the first time, tasted sand, met Amy Sax for the first time and celebrated his first cinco de mayo. We did a lot in 2 weeks! Here are some pictures and videos.
